COLOR  DRAWINGS

This collection began as a series of original graphite drawings, later photographed and recolored in bold reds and pinks. Created in 2023, it was an experiment in using color — not for decoration, but for emotional weight.

The warm, saturated tones heighten the work’s intimacy, desire, and tension. Color becomes a tool of amplification, pushing the emotional register higher and making the images feel louder, more direct, and harder to turn away from.

This series quickly became one of Lyons’ most popular, with prints selling widely. It marked a turning point — a test of how color can shift not only the mood of a piece, but its visibility and impact.
