This collection of paintings uses oil, acrylic, and watercolor to explore how color and texture can create and convey additional layers of emotional depth.

With these works, Lyons steps outside the sharper detail of his graphite drawings and leans into something more fluid and atmospheric. These pieces are less about definition and more about feeling — how light and color can carry emotional weight without spelling everything out.

Some figures appear partially or drift toward abstraction. Some hold a sense of quiet melancholy while others hint at playfulness or dreaminess. There’s a deliberate looseness here that allows for uncertainty, discovery, and emotional intensity in new forms.

These works don’t offer fixed meaning. Instead, they invite you to sit with what’s unresolved and feel your way through.
